My old Cisco DP3010 cable modem finally went on strike after more than 6 years of unstopping usage. I purchased this modem based on review and price - it is also on the certified list of Xfinity. The model arrived within 2 days of ordering, and I was happily surprised by how easy it is to self-serve connect back online. I just connected the cable to the modem, and used Xfinity app to type in the MAC address. The first time it didn't work. I realized it might be because I connected my WiFi router to it. I disconnected that and tried the app again, and all the lights were on within 10-15 minutes. When I connected the WiFi router again, boom all devices revived on internet again. And the download/upload speed was faster than my previous older modem. Good product and installation experience!

This Wi-Fi is great for basic home use. If you're on Spectrum, you need to let them configure this to the system. They do it over the internet, so you need to follow the installation instructions. It was a snap and I'm no IT guy.

My Zoom modem failed, couldn't be reset, and I didn't want to be without internet while I tried to troubleshoot it further. I looked on Amazon, and this unit was a slight upgrade and was available for same day delivery. That was awesome! My modem went out in the morning, and I had this up and going before dinner. Definitely an Amazon to the rescue moment. It did give me a bit of grief with setting up. I hooked it up to get it provisioned by my Internet Service Provider (instructions included), but when I hooked up my Asus router, it didn't work. Couldn't access the internet through Wi-Fi. What fixed it was restarting the modem again while the Asus Router was connected. This cleared the misconfiguration and everything has been good and stable ever since.
